CRAB Park assault declared fatal, Vancouver’s fourth homicide

Vancouver police have confirmed the stabbing that happened at Crab park yesterday resulted in a homicide.

After police were called to reports of a stabbing in Vancouver’s CRAB Park Saturday, VPD has officially declared it to be a homicide.

According to police, 45-year-old Andrew Wadden was found with life-threatening injuries at around 10:20 a.m. near Main Street and Waterfront Road.

Despite efforts from emergency crews to save the man, he died at the scene.

Eric Kim, 26, has been charged with second degree murder. Wadden’s death is Vancouver’s fourth homicide of 2022.

An area of the park was cordoned off with police tape, as well as the Main Street overpass and part of Waterfront Road.
