Two bodies found in burning car near Summerland

Mounties say two bodies have been discovered in a fire-ravaged vehicle outside of the town of Summerland in the B.C. Interior.
Summerland RCMP were alerted Saturday morning after human remains were found when the Summerland Fire Department were extinguishing a vehicle fire on Garnet Valley Road.
The Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SEM CU) has taken over the investigation and is working to determine what led to the deaths.
No details have been released about the identify of the bodies or the vehicle.
Police are asking anyone with dash cam footage, or observations of suspicious activity, in the Garnet Valley Road area from the early morning of Saturday to contact the SEM CU at 1-877-987-8477.
