According to police, a pedestrian who stepped off the curb to cross the street was struck by a vehicle heading westbound. Police say the pedestrian was trying to cross “outside of a marked crosswalk.”
Police say the person struck was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, police say, and is cooperating with Mounties. Police do not believe speed or alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
