“It is currently suspected that shots originated from the occupants of the black sedan,” the RCMP says in a release.

Investigators say they received reports of a car on fire along 83 Avenue a short time after officers received the shots fired call. The car on fire has since been identified as a silver SUV, believed to have been involved in the exchange of gunfire.

The RCMP is looking to speak with anyone who may have more information. Investigators are also looking for anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area of 68 Avenue between 152 and 151 streets between 8:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. You can contact the Surrey RCMP at 604.599.0502 and quote file 2022-126823.
