The logo was designed by B.C. Indigenous artist Corrine Hunt.

She’s a member of the Raven Gwa’wina clan from Ts’akis on Vancouver Island. Hunt’s family artwork is based on her Kwakwaka’wakw heritage.

The first 10,000 fans will receive shirts with the logo and the Orange Shirt Society’s slogan “Every Child Matters” at the game.

The BC Lions will give at least 350 free tickets and meal coupons to former students of residential schools and their families.

Additionally, the partnership will provide $20,000 to the Orange Shirt Society.

The game will also showcase the theme “Sport is Medicine”, showcasing local Indigenous athletes and Elders.
