BC Wildfire says the evacuation order for the province’s largest wildfire has been lifted even though the Battleship Mountain wildfire remains out of control.
The large blaze in the Prince George Fire Centre is estimated to be more than 302 kilometers in size.
Evacuation orders in the area forced close to one thousand residents to leave their homes in the northeast corner of the province.

It is one of the two remaining blazes classified as wildfires of note the service’s website.
But it is reporting the Bearhole Lake Fire, which is also located in the Prince George region, will be downgraded Sunday as cooler temperatures and rain continue to dampen the fire’s activity.
