One dead, another injured in targeted Richmond shooting

A man died and another man was seriously injured in a shooting Sunday night.
Shortly after 11 p.m., Richmond RCMP says officers responded to a call after gunfire was heard near Sunnymede Crescent and Sunnymede Gate in Richmond’s Broadmoor neighbourhood.

Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to hospital, police say.
In a statement Monday, Richmond Mounties say while the investigation is in its early stages, the shooting appears to be targeted.
Mounties say the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the investigation.
