Trips to and from the North Shore will get a little more difficult this week, with the Stanley Park causeway set to be closed overnight Tuesday and Wednesday.
Drive BC says the popular artery will be closed off due to paving from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. overnight on both days.
#BCHwy99 – Stanley Park Causeway will be closed, in both directions, for paving 10:30 PM to 5:30 AM tonight Tuesday October 11th & tomorrow night, Wednesday October 12th.
Access to #LionsGate Bridge will be maintained via detours through Stanley Park.

This section of Highway 99 will be completely closed both directions for a two-kilometre stretch between Lost Lagoon Road and Stanley Park Drive.
The Lions Gate Bridge, however, will remain open, with traffic being detoured through Stanley Park during the time of the closures.

It is not clear whether the roadway will be reopened later in the week, with Drive BC saying there will be another update on Thursday at 5:30 a.m.
If you’re looking to avoid the detours, the Ironworker’s Memorial Bridge will still provide access to and from the North Shore.
