An Air Quality Advisory is in place again Tuesday, as smoke from wildfires burning in the south of British Columbia and Washington state waft into Metro Vancouver.
CityNews meteorologist Michael Kuss says it will be another tough day for folks with breathing issues.
“I think it’s going to be almost a carbon copy of yesterday; A lot like yesterday, today, and tomorrow. There’s just no dominant wind pattern, and we have such stagnant conditions and obviously no rain over the next couple of days,” he said.

With the weather unlikely to significantly change before Friday, the hazy skies are locked in for a few more days yet.
“Smoke is already locked into the atmosphere, and with more of it coming with an easterly component to the wind, we are going to see hazy conditions especially central and eastern Fraser Valley.
“The winds bring that wildfire smoke back toward the coast from Manning Park, from eastern parts of the valley, and down through the Cascades where a number of significant fires continue to rage.”
Meanwhile, it was another day of tumbling weather records, as temperatures in B.C. continue their summer-like run.
Eleven areas around the province saw their daily temperature record fall. Williams Lake posted a new record of 19.6 C degrees, when its former record was 16.1 C degrees in 1978.
Dawson Creek smashed its daily record by almost five degrees. Monday’s temperature hit 25.5 C degrees, while their last record of 20.7 C degrees was set in 2018.
