Vancouver police ask for help identifying person found dead at Spanish Banks

The Vancouver Police Department is asking the public for help identifying the body of a person who was found on Sept. 29.
According to police, the person was found by a tug boat crew in the water at Vancouver’s Spanish Banks around 9 p.m.

The person is described to be between 30 and 40 years old, 175 to 200 pounds, with brown eyes, short black curly hair. The person was found wearing a backpack, and an orange life jacket. A blue, inflatable kayak was also found nearby.
Police say Vancouver Fire and Rescue attempted to revive the person, but were unsuccessful.
Anyone who recognizes the drawing of the person is asked to call VPD’s Missing Person Unit at 604-717-2533.
