Fatal collision closes section of King George Boulevard in Surrey

A section of King George Boulevard in Surrey will be closed for an extended period Wednesday evening as police investigate a fatal collision.
Surrey RCMP says the two-vehicle crash happened just before 7 p.m on King George Boulevard near the Serpentine River. Officers say one person was declared dead at the scene.
Police say all southbound traffic on King George Boulevard will be diverted at Highway 10. Northbound traffic on King George will be detoured at 44 Avenue.
Mounties say the traffic disruptions will be in place for an “undetermined amount of time.”
The RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team is on the scene.
