Police say it happened on Friday afternoon around 3 p.m. in Mount Pleasant as a mother and her baby boy were waiting for a bus near Main Street and Broadway Street.
The VPD says a stranger approached and began yelling at people to get out of his way. Investigators say as the mom attempted to move her stroller, the stranger deliberately spat at it, hitting the 13-month-old child.
