New housing for families, seniors, and people with low-to-moderate incomes is now open in Coquitlam.
In a release from the Attorney General and Minister responsible for Housing in B.C., it says the 75 rental homes are set to be an affordable option for locals.
The Mountain View Suites, near King Albert Ave. and Marmont St., is a five storey building where rentals will range from $375 to $2,341 per month, depending on the unit size and household income.
“We know people in Coquitlam need more options for quality, affordable housing options like Mountain View Suites,” Selina Robinson, MLA for Coquitlam-Maillardville said.

The ministry says the building will be owned and operated by the British Columbia Community Renewal Society of the United Church of Canada.

The release adds that the project is part of B.C.’s 10-year, $7-billion housing plan, and it invested $7.5 million to the project.
