An early morning fire in an apartment building in North Vancouver Tuesday sent two people to hospital, and around 70 residents evacuated, the District of North Vancouver says.
A firefighter reportedly also suffered a minor injury.
Fire broke out just after 4 a.m. in a one-bedroom unit of an apartment building on Marine Drive near Lower Capilano Road.
Crews from the District of North Vancouver and West Vancouver fire and rescue services responded to the call, and found the unit “fully involved,” but managed to extinguish the flames.
