Combining science and cocktails, Sciences World says its most popular fundraiser is coming back in April.
After three years of pandemic postponements, the group says its adult-only Science of Cocktails event is set to return on Apr. 27.
“For one night only, the iconic dome will transform into the world’s largest cocktail laboratory,” Science World said in a news release.

Amidst spectacular science demonstrations, guests can sip on unique cocktails from and try snacks from local chefs.
But the group says the event is about more than having a good time with friends, as ticket proceeds got to allowing tens of thousands of people free entrance into the dome.
“This includes students and teachers who attend under-resourced schools; refugees, newcomers, and immigrants to Canada; people living with autism, physical disabilities, and developmental disabilities; and those experiencing financial barriers,” it added.

“We’re excited to be able to host Science of Cocktails this year, and I’m grateful for the hard work and collaboration from our team and community members to organize the fun-filled evening,” President and CEO of Science World Tracy Redies, said.
Redies says the fund has raised over a million dollars over the last seven years, and the money goes toward helping the globe and locals.
“Our province and planet’s future depend on people from all backgrounds having access to and being excited about STEAM learning. Since its inception in 2016, Science of Cocktails has raised $1.2 million, facilitating access to Science World and its programs across British Columbia, and we look forward to being able to support more families and communities with this year’s proceeds,” Redies added.
Ticket prices start at $185 for regular admission, or can get VIP tickets for $289.
