A second person has been charged in relation to the stabbing death of 66-year-old Terry Miller last year.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says 24-year-old Delta man, Chalice Slavik has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
The development comes after IHIT earlier this month arrested 21-year-old Jeffrey Stevens who was later charged with second-degree murder in relation to the fatal stabbing.
IHIT says Coquitlam RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on Feb. 10 last year at a commercial area on Schoolhouse Street where they found Miller and another person suffering from stab wounds.
At the time, Miller was taken to hospital where he later died.
“IHIT is extremely grateful for our strong partnership with the other Lower Mainland Integrated Teams,” Sgt. Timothy Pierotti of IHIT said. “Incidents such as this have a profound impact on a community. IHIT remains
dedicated to working with our partners to keep the Lower Mainland safe.”
None of the charges have been proven in court.
