Surrey RCMP arrests man wanted Canada-wide

Mounties in Surrey say a man wanted Canada-wide has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in Whalley.

The Surrey RCMP says officers were called to a home near 104 Avenue and 140 Street on March 16, for reports of a break-and-enter.

When they arrived, police say the suspect climbed out of a window and tried to run away.

He was arrested on the scene and taken to a Surrey RCMP cell, police note.

Mounties say the man was wanted by multiple policing agencies, including the Burnaby RCMP, New Westminster Police, and Metro Vancouver Transit Police, and his Canada-wide warrant was in relation to a suspected break-and-enter in Burnaby.

“The offender is alleged to have committed serious offences in multiple jurisdictions and will now be brought before the courts,” Cpl. Vanessa Munn said.

“His arrest can be attributed directly to the quick coordinated response of our frontline officers and the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service.”

According to police, 36-year-old Sean Trevor Cuddeford was charged the following day with break and enter and obstructing a peace officer.
