Abbotsford police seeking information about weekend armed robbery

Police in Abbotsford are looking for the public’s help after a woman was allegedly robbed by five men on Saturday.

Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says a 62-year-old woman was outside on her property on Ross Road, between 0 Avenue and Huntington Road when she was met by five masked men.

Police say during the incident, the suspects pulled out a firearm and demanded money from the woman before stealing her vehicle and driving off.

Her vehicle and the suspects’ vehicle have been recovered and seized, AbbyPD says, and while the victim and other people at the property were “shaken,” police confirmed no one was injured.

Officers are now working to determine whether the incident is targeted or random.

AbbyPD is urging anyone with information regarding the alleged robbery or dashcam footage from the area to contact the department at 604-859-5225.
