With Vancouver’s biggest fireworks display set to dazzle crowds along the beaches of English Bay in just a few months, we’re now finding out which countries will be competing in this year’s Celebration of Light.
Australia, Mexico, and the Philippines have been announced as this year’s competing countries.

The Celebration of Light, which is the province’s biggest public event, sees more than 400,000 people watch the sky each evening.
Last but certainly not least – Blue Peacock Fireworks will be representing The Philippines!

It is regarded as the longest-running fireworks competition in the world and is owned by the volunteer-run Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society.
Last year marked the festival’s return after a two-year COVID-19-induced hiatus. The 30th year of the festival saw Team Canada beat out Japan and Spain.
