Coyote attacks 6-year-old in Burnaby: BCCOS

The BC Conservation Officer Service (BCCOS) says a 6-year-old girl was attacked by a coyote Sunday morning in Burnaby.
In a tweet, the service says the attack happened around 10:15 a.m. during the Burnaby Blooms festival at Deer Lake Park.

The child was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Four Conservation officers and Burnaby RCMP officers searched the park, but say no coyotes were seen.
This is the second reported coyote attack on a child that has occurred recently, following an incident in Port Coquitlam that left a 2-year-old hurt.
