Coquitlam’s Colour Fest kicks off Saturday

Coquitlam’s Colour Fest 2023 kicks off Saturday evening to celebrate the Hindu festival Holi.
Visitors can enjoy an all-ages “colour zone,” where people cover each other in vibrant-coloured powders.
“The vibrancy of colours is something that brings in a lot of positivity in our lives and Holi being the festival of colours is actually a day worth rejoicing,” Holi Festival’s website reads.

“The festival signifies the arrival of spring, the end of winter, the blossoming of love, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships,” Diwali Fest’s website reads.
Colour Fest is here – May 20 in Coquitlam! This fun festival ft. vibrant music and dance performances by South Asian artists and a live Colour Zone where participants cover each other in coloured powder. Food trucks will be serving delicious treats!

Locals can also grab snacks or participate in art activities, along with watching music and dance performances.
The event is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park.
