Event organizers say dozens of vehicles will also be on display, including vintage classics and sport models as well.

“With over 100 stunning cars on display, you’ll be transported to a world of automotive excellence and beauty,” the festival’s website reads.

You may also be able to spot something magical — as a magician is said to be roaming the area in the afternoon.

The festival is a long-standing tradition that celebrates “the best of the Burnaby Heights community,” and more than 50,000 people typically attend.

“Hats Off Day has been a grassroots festival celebrating the best of the Burnaby Heights community since the early 1980s,” the festival’s website reads.

Hastings Street from Boundary Road to Gamma Avenue is closed until 5 p.m. due to the parade and festival, and there are a number of no-stop spots in the area.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. and the festival is set to run until 5 p.m.
