Surrey RCMP arrests Port Coquitlam crime spree suspect

Mounties in Surrey say 22-year-old Kwabena Bosiako, who was wanted in connection to a major crime spree that started in Port Coquitlam, was arrested in New Westminster Wednesday morning.

At about 9:45 a.m. police say he was arrested at the Columbia Square complex.

“Bosiako had left his court-mandated residence in Surrey and removed his electronic monitoring device… Since then, officers with the Surrey RCMP Gang Enforcement Team have been leading the search for Mr. Bosiako, following up on a number of investigative avenues to locate him,” a news release reads.

Mounties say he will remain in custody until appearing in court.

Bosiako is facing charges that include robbery, using an unauthorized firearm, and flight from police in connection to the incidents, which began in Port Coquitlam at a car dealership.
