The Bay in Burnaby’s Lougheed Mall closing December

The Lougheed Mall in Burnaby will look a little different come December.
The Hudson’s Bay Company confirms The Bay at that location will be closing permanently in December.
In an email to CityNews, the company says it is trying to “optimize its real estate portfolio.”
The mall on Lougheed Highway near the Burnaby-Coquitlam border has seen a big drop in major stores in recent years, as the area undergoes redevelopment.
The only big retailers left are Walmart and London Drugs.
