A Port Moody townhome went up in flames early Monday morning, according to the city’s fire department.

According to the Port Moody Fire Rescue (PMFR), at around 4:40 a.m., firefighters were called to a structure fire in the Heritage Woods area.

PMFR says it had help from an off-duty Surrey firefighter during the rescue.
