Abbotsford police investigating suspected stabbing

A woman is recovering in hospital after a suspected stabbing at an Abbotsford park Tuesday.
The Abbotsford Police Department says officers responded to reports of a “suspicious circumstance” on Townline Road near Nadeau Park just before 2 p.m.
“Officers at the scene located a 46-year-old female suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. The female victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” AbbyPD said in a statement.
Police say early indications suggest the incident was targeted, and the Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.
AbbyPD is asking anyone with information, who may have dashcam footage, CCTV, or who may have been in the area of Nadeau Park between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to get in touch with police at 604-859-5225.
