A thick blanket of fog cascaded over parts of the Lower Mainland Thursday morning.
One photo from DriveBC shows Highway 1 in Langley, near Aldergrove, barely visible. Just the headlights of vehicles and faint road markings can be seen.
“Expect delays and dense fog,” the agency posted on X.

The foggy conditions also affected air traffic in the area. The Boundary Bay airport in Delta closed its airspace due to visibility concerns, prompting the CityNews 1130 Air Patrol to land in Pitt Meadows early in the morning commute.
Fog was also reported in Delta and south Surrey, and farther into the Fraser Valley, including Abbotsford. However, traffic cameras on the Port Mann Bridge in northern Surrey showed clear conditions.
