Creston, B.C. teenager arrested, facing firearms-related charges

Mounties in Creston, B.C. says a teenager was arrested for an alleged breach in conditions and is now facing multiple charges.

In a release, the Creston RCMP says officers were called to a residence after receiving reports of a disturbance.

Police say 19-year-old Zachary Muise was arrested at the home, and officers found a loaded firearm in his possession. Police explain that being at the residence was cause for his alleged breach of conditions.

The teenager has since been charged with failing to comply with a release order, the possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and the possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number.

Muise has already appeared in court and will remain in police custody until his next court appearance.
