Delta police seek driver after crash leaves 2 with ‘life-altering’ injuries

Delta police are still looking for a driver they say left the scene of a single-vehicle crash that resulted in serious injuries to two people last week.

The Delta Police Department says the crash along Kittson Parkway happened around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 25. Police say the car lost control, left the road, and crashed into trees.

Two passengers seated in the back of the vehicle sustained “life-altering” injuries, police add. “The driver fled the area prior to any first responder attendance.”

“Investigators are now asking any independent witnesses to this collision, or pre-collision driving behaviour to contact investigators to assist in the investigation,” the DPD said in a released.

Investigators are also looking for any video of the area.

Police describe the vehicle that crashed as a grey 2003 Acura RSX.

“The amount of damage, the seriousness of the injuries as a result of the collision, and the fact that the driver fled the scene are all significant reasons that investigators wish to identify the driver and compel this person to court,” Acting Staff Sgt. Michael Whitely said.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Const. Jason Guest at 604-946-4411.
