Elf-themed Compass Cards being released Wednesday

TransLink is getting into the holiday spirit by unveiling limited-edition Elf-themed Compass Cards on Wednesday.

The transit authority is teaming up with entertainment studio Warner Bros. to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic holiday movie starring Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf.

A total of 1,200 Elf-themed Compass Cards, with collectible wooden postcards, will be available for $34 during the limited-release sale.

Those interested can head to the pop-up store at Granville SkyTrain Station from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, or until supplies run out. TransLink says a small number of Compass Cards will also be available online.

Customers can purchase a maximum of four cards each, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Four designs are available, and customers can buy a maximum of four per person. They’re available on a first-come, first-served basis and sales are final.
