BC Ferries card payments affected by Moneris outage

A Moneris outage affecting payments across Canada has been resolved, and that means BC Ferries customers can once again use their credit and debit cards at terminals and on vessels.
BC Ferries took to social media to warn customers about the third-party issue, saying it was processing payments manually while the issue was ongoing and that that could lead to delays.
Moneris reported just after 1:30 p.m. that it had identified the issue and resolved it, though it could take some time for some systems to come back online.
The outage comes as many people are heading out of town for the holidays, with Friday expected to be one of the busiest travel days of the season.
