North Vancouver police incident over, roads reopen

Mounties in North Vancouver say a police incident that had shut down a road off Central Lonsdale has ended.

The RCMP had been asking people to stay away from E. 18th Street between St. Georges and St. Andrews avenues due to the situation Friday.’

In an update Friday afternoon, the RCMP said one person had been apprehended and that the incident was related to a mental health call.

Police had been asking people to avoid the area. Images from the scene showed multiple RCMP cruisers and police tape up in the area.
