Man arrested after weapons call at Coquitlam Centre Mall: police

Police say one man has been arrested after reports of a weapon in the Apple Store of the Coquitlam Centre Mall.

The Coquitlam RCMP say they attended the scene at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say upon arrival, one male suspect was arrested. There’s no further risk to the public, police say.

The investigation is ongoing.

This comes after police say a “brazen” shooting took place near the mall on Thursday afternoon. Another shooting took place Friday evening in Coquitlam, which police are now saying could be linked to Thursday’s incident.
