‘Kindhearted commuter’ finds missing dog who was in stolen car: New West Police

Police in New Westminster are thanking a “kindhearted commuter” who found a missing dog that was in a vehicle that was stolen early Monday morning.

The New Westminster Police Department says a black 2012 Fiat 500 was taken early Monday morning from Carnarvon Street near Blackie Street.

“Good news! Zoey the Boarder Collie was found by a kindhearted commuter,” NWPD shared in an update.

It notes the vehicle is still yet to be found.

Police are now urging anyone who sees the vehicle to call 911.
