One man is dead after a shooting in Burnaby Tuesday night. A vehicle was seen with several bullet holes on Kingsway near Denbigh. As Kate Walker reports, police believe the incident was targeted.

Homicide investigators have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Burnaby and are now looking for a vehicle that is believed to have been connected to the incident earlier this week.

Mounties were called to the area of Kingsway and Denbigh Avenue, near Metrotown, just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old with life-threatening injuries. The man died from his injuries, despite efforts from first responders.

The victim has since been identified as Johnson Viet Anh Do, of Surrey. Investigators say the shooting appears to have been targeted, though a motive is still unclear.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says a silver 2010 Buick Enclave was seen on video driving east on Kingsway Avenue after the shooting.

IHIT is asking anyone who may have had contact with the victim or who has information about what he may have been up to before he was shot to contact investigators.

IHIT is also asking anyone who sees the Buick Enclave, or who has dashcam or any video from the area of Kingsway and Denbigh avenues between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday to reach out.
