Mounties investigating vehicle arson in Surrey

Police and fire crews were called out to a home in Surrey Friday morning after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.
In a release, the Surrey RCMP says it was called out around 8 a.m. to a the Newton neighbourhood, on 134B Street near 84 Avenue.
Police say the fire spread to the home’s garage door, and the occupants had to be evacuated. No injuries were reported.
According to Mounties, the fire appears to have been intentially set, and they are working to determine a motive.
