Metro Vancouver might see snow next week as cold front moves through

You might have to break out that heavy jacket again next week, as cold air is on its way to the Lower Mainland.
Although the region has had a relatively warm February, with crocuses and other bulbs popping up, it doesn’t mean we’re done with winter.
CityNews Meteorologist Michael Kuss explains we could see some snow next week.
“Mild weather conditions are currently prevailing, but a winter weather event is expected to return on Tuesday and Wednesday,” he said.
Kuss says a mix of rain and snow are on the way to both coastal areas and higher elevations.
“The ingredients in place include cold arctic air and Pacific moisture, but the exact impact will depend on how far the cold air pushes inland.”
Kuss says the heaviest snowfall accumulation will be found inland, towards the Fraser Valley. However, it’s still too early to say just how much snow might fall.
