Langley crash shuts WB Highway 1

Highway 1 in Langley has reopened to westbound traffic after to a multi-vehicle crash Monday.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, which led to a fire, though crews have been able to extinguish the flames.

Westbound was completely closed for about an hour and 15 minutes, and one eastbound lane was also shut temporarily by emergency crews.

Drivers experienced heavy delays, with major congestion reported in both directions.

Fraser Highway was recommended as an alternate route.
