Police in Vancouver are cautioning the public after a woman says she was attacked in Stanley Park Monday.
Officers say the incident happened around 10:45 a.m. just north of Lost Lagoon on Lees Trail.
The woman called 911 after reportedly being attacked by a stranger, police say.
Despite conducting an extensive search, police say the suspect has not been located.
“We are in the early stages of this investigation, and there is some detail we are unable to share. However, we are telling the public about this incident so everyone can exercise caution in the area,” said Sgt. Steve Addison.
The suspect is described as a man in his twenties, about 5’7″, wearing a dark toque and a zipper jacket with a checkered pattern on the front.
Anyone with information is asked by police to call 604-717-4021 or, in the case of an emergency, 911.
