Section of Vancouver’s seawall to close for net installation

Work on Vancouver’s iconic seawall is forcing a section of it to close this week.

From March 25 to 28, the seawall in Stanley Park will be closed between Prospect Point and Third Beach beginning at 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Vancouver’s Park Board says crews in the area will be installing safety netting “for the ongoing protection of the seawall and its users.”

It adds while detours are in place, park users should be aware of the essential tree removal work that’s taking place along these routes.
