A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing at Burnaby’s Metrotown bus loop.
The Burnaby RCMP says its officers received reports of the stabbing around 2 a.m. Tuesday on Central Boulevard.
“When police arrived, they located a 43-year-old male victim. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery,” Mounties said in a statement to CityNews.
The RCMP says with help from the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service, a 29-year-old man was found and arrested.
Police tell CityNews that their initial investigation leads them to believe there was some kind of altercation between the two men before the incident, however, police did not confirm if they knew each other beforehand.
Police say the investigation continues.
