FortisBC completed its gas restoration for 330 North Vancouver residents

FortisBC announced that it has completed work to restore natural gas services to roughly 330 customers in North Vancouver.

The utility company said crews had to temporarily shut down a portion of its systems while they made repairs to damage done by an “external party” earlier in the day.

FortisBC says affected residents can expect a visit from one of its employees.

“Once repairs are complete and gas is safely restored in the line, our crews will visit each affected home or business to turn gas back on at the meter and relight all affected appliances. If no one is home, the FortisBC service crew will leave a door tag that provides contact information to schedule a relight.”

Fortis advised any residents who think they were affected but didn’t receive a tag to contact its emergency number: 1-877-711-8877

Repairs were completed just before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
