North Vancouver RCMP seek public’s help after ‘fatal incident’

Mounties in North Vancouver are asking for the public’s assistance following the death of an unidentified man earlier this week.

Police say he was found seriously injured beneath an overpass in Mosquito Creek Sunday afternoon. The victim was discovered under the West 2nd Street crossing between Bewicke Avenue and Fell Avenue.

The man was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries on Monday.

Investigators believe the victim may have fallen.

In an effort to rule out any suspicious activity, police are asking witnesses or anyone with relevant dash-cam video of West 2nd between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on June 23 to come forward.

“The investigation in ongoing and in its earliest stages, but we’re appealing to any member of the public that may have more information,” said Const. Mansoor Sahak in a Friday news release.

“Your dash cam may have captured something. Please check.”

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and quote file #24-12318.
