Flights delayed at YVR Thursday due to NAV CANADA resources

NAV CANADA says some flights leaving and arriving at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) were delayed Thursday due to what it called “resource constraints.”

It’s the second time this month that resources at the federal agency have affected flights at YVR.

“Our team is moving aircraft safely, and as quickly as possible,” NAV CANADA operations said on social media.

According to YVR, dozens of incoming flights were delayed, with many departing flights also being affected.

NAV CANADA said at 8 p.m. that the flow of traffic had returned to normal levels at YVR, and that its team was “continuing to keep everyone moving safely and efficiently.”

Passengers are still told to check the status of their flight before heading out.
