Queensborough Bridge reopens following rollover crash

A rollover crash blocked southbound traffic for hours on the Queensborough Bridge Monday afternoon.

Around 12:10 p.m., a truck rolled over while trying to get onto the Queensborough Bridge, and was blocking off the 91A southbound onramps from Burnaby and New Westminster.

As of 2:55 p.m. Monday, DriveBC says the scene is clear and traffic has resumed in both directions. Delays in the area are still expected.

The Pattullo Bridge is the easiest way to detour, and the Knight Street Bridge can also be used to cross the Fraser River.

In a statement to CityNews, BC Emergency Health Services says paramedics attended the scene but no one “needed transport to hospital.”
