Gas leak closes Ioco Road in Port Moody

Ioco Road between April Road and Barber Street in Port Moody is closed due to a gas leak.
The Port Moody Police Department has reported to the scene of the leak. Police say the road is expected to be closed for “some time.”
“Please avoid the area if you can, traffic is heavily delayed & being detoured via Alderside Road,” PMPD said in a post to social media.
This comes as another gas leak in Surrey forced the closure of a portion of a major arterial in the city’s Cloverdale neighbourhood earlier Tuesday morning.
The City of Port Moody said Tuesday afternoon that the work on Ioco Road should be completed by 6 p.m.
