Major crash shuts Lougheed Highway in Mission

A section of Lougheed Highway is closed in Mission after a major crash involving what appears to be a commercial truck.
Highway 7 is blocked in both directions between Madaris and McKamey roads, with no estimated time of reopening.
Images shared online show a vehicle on fire, with heavy smoke rising from the scene.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service has been deployed. It is telling drivers to expect delays.
ICARS is called in to investigate any collision that results in serious injury or death.
You can take McKamey Road to River Road South as an alternate route.
