Hwy 1 lane cleared, one person taken to hospital after Chilliwack bridge crash

A multi-vehicle collision that was blocking the left lane westbound on Highway 1 near the border of Chilliwack and Abbotsford is now clear.

BC Emergency Health Services (EHS) told 1130 NewsRadio they responded to a call around 11:54 a.m. about a “motor vehicle incident” on Highway 1 near Vedder River Bridge.

EHS says three ambulances were on the scene with paramedics providing emergency medical treatment and one person was taken to hospital in stable condition.

The lane was cleared around 1:30 p.m.

Drivers heading into Abbotsford can expect some delays to stay because of traffic congestion.
