Man fatally stabbed in East Vancouver

The Vancouver Police Department says a 34-year-old man was the victim of the city’s latest homicide overnight. As Adrienne South reports, a 27-year-old woman has been arrested in relation to the stabbing.

The Vancouver Police Department says a 34-year-old man was the victim of the city’s latest homicide overnight.

Just after midnight Thursday, police say they were called to a residence near Kingsway and Melbourne Street, just west of Boundary Road, after an apparent stabbing.

The victim, Brian Matthew Clayton, died of his injuries before being taken to hospital, police say.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested and is currently in custody in relation to the fatal stabbing. Police claim the victim and suspect knew each other.

Vancouver Police are now urging anyone with information about the incident to contact its homicide team at 604-717-2500.
