Vancouver police investigate stabbing outside coffee shop in Downtown Eastside

Vancouver police say they are investigating a stabbing outside a coffee shop in the Downtown Eastside neighbourhood.

Officers responded to reports of a man being stabbed on Keefer Street near Main Street just after 11:30 a.m.

In a post to social media Sunday afternoon, the VPD says officers are on Keefer Street near Main Street collecting evidence.

“The victim, 56, was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries,” the VPD said.

“Police believe the victim and suspect knew each other.”

No arrests have been made.
